Every ham deserves to be glazed, choose wisely...Orange & Central Otago Gin Marmalade Glazed Ham

Recipe:

Ingredients:

1 whole ham (about 2-3 kg, bone-in)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 160°C 

  2. Prepare the ham: Score the fat on the ham with a knife in a criss-cross pattern. This helps the glaze sink in and makes it look pretty when it’s done.

  3. Place the ham in a roasting pan and cover it loosely with foil.

  4. Bake the ham: Roast for about 1.5–2 hours, basting with its juices every 30 minutes.

  5. Make the glaze: In a pot, slowly warm The Prospector, Orange & Central Otago Gin Marmalade . Stir until the marmalade softens, add a little water if needed. .

  6. Glaze the ham: After the ham has roasted, remove it from the oven and brush the glaze all over the ham. Be generous with it!

  7. Finish roasting: Put the ham back in the oven (without foil) and roast for another 20–30 minutes, basting it with the glaze every 10 minutes until it’s golden and sticky.

  8. Rest and serve: Let the ham rest for 10 minutes before carving.

This recipe is super straightforward but still gives you a beautifully glazed ham!
